Quick Reminders as We Move Toward Spring

Greetings, Class of 2029

I hope you’re settling into your spring semester courses. A few important updates as we head into February:

Drop/Add Deadline: Wednesday, February 4 at 5:00 PM

This is your last chance to make changes to your schedule without needing to petition. After 5 PM on Wednesday, any adjustments require a formal petition, so take a moment today to confirm you’re happy with your lineup.

Winter Blues? You’re Almost There

I know these cold, gray days can be tough. The good news? We’re inching closer to spring, and the days are already getting longer. If you’re not feeling well, please rest up and use our campus wellness resources – Davison Health Center, WesWell, and CAPS are all here for you. While it might feel tempting to skip class on a particularly frigid morning, you’re shortchanging yourself. You chose Wesleyan for a reason, and showing up to class, even when it’s hard, is where the magic happens. Your education and this experience are worth rolling out from under those warm covers.

Enrollment Housekeeping

You’ve finalized or are close to finalizing your spring schedule – congrats! Be sure you’ve cleared any enrollment holds in WesPortal and hit that “Enroll Me” button so you don’t get dropped from your classes. Take two minutes to double-check today by navigating to WesPortal > Enrollment Checklists and Addresses > Holds/Enroll.

Looking Ahead: Major Declaration Workshop

In just two months, I will host an event titled Chart Your Course(s): Choosing Your Major to help you think ahead to fall registration as you approach your second year when you’ll declare your major. This event will have a waitlist, so RSVP as soon as possible to hold your spot (and yes, dinner will be provided!).

You’re doing great. Keep showing up for yourselves and for this community.

Take care,
Dean Dunn
