Greetings, Class of 2029
As Thanksgiving approaches, I wanted to send a quick note about some important upcoming deadlines and what to expect as we head into the final weeks of the semester.
A few key dates to keep in mind:
Grading Mode Deadline: If you’re enrolled in a course with the option to choose grading mode, the deadline to confirm your grading mode choice is Tuesday, November 25 at 5 p.m.
Class Withdrawal: The deadline to withdraw from a course is Friday, December 5 at 5 p.m.
You can change grading mode or withdraw from a class directly on your class schedule page in WesPortal.
When classes resume following Thanksgiving Break (11/26-11/30), you have two more weeks of classes followed by reading days and finals. Classes end on Friday, December 12, and the reading/finals period runs from December 13 through December 20.
I hope you use the holiday break this week to rest and reflect on just how much you’ve accomplished in your first semester. I know this is a demanding time of the semester, so please reach out if you need support or have questions.
Important: Please note that students should plan to leave university housing by noon on Sunday, December 21 for winter break, unless you’ve arranged an exception with Residential Life.
Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Take care,
Dean Dunn
