You made it through add/drop! Thank you for your patience as we introduced our new registration system. The feedback you’ve shared will make spring course registration even better.
Now let’s set our sights on major declaration, which happens for most of you this spring. My office offers programming to help you make this decision thoughtfully:
- Go Explore a Major (Oct-Nov): Departments across campus will host Major Open Houses, and my office has created a program to encourage you to attend as many as you can (see flyer). Show up not just for the departments you already love, but for the ones you’ve never seriously considered. Ask questions and talk to faculty and current majors. The goal isn’t to make a decision right away; it’s to expand your sense of what’s possible before you narrow it down.
- Chart Your Courses: Choosing Your Major (Feb 1, 2027): In the spring, we’ll again offer our major declaration program. This isn’t just for students who are still undecided. Even if you already know your intended major, the information covered is useful, especially if you’re considering an additional major, a minor, or another credential. RSVP today!
