Information For

Group Counseling with CAPS

Students can join one of our psychoeducational, psychotherapeutic, or support groups. Formats vary: some are curriculum-based (study skills, coping strategies), some support specific populations (international or LGBTQIA+ students), and some are more traditionally psychotherapeutic, guided by a leader through relevant topics.

Sharing with peers can feel intimidating at first, but many students find real comfort in connecting with others who’ve had similar experiences.

Group offerings change each semester. If you’re seeing a CAPS therapist, ask about joining a group. Otherwise, browse the groups below and sign up via QR code or by contacting the facilitator on the flyer. You may be asked to meet briefly with a therapist first to confirm fit.
