Information For

End of Semester Deadlines

Greetings, Class of 2029!

I hope you’re finding moments to breathe amid this busy stretch. Some important dates to keep in mind as we start to close out the semester:

  • Grading Mode Change Deadline: If your course offers a grading mode choice, confirm your selection by 5pm on Wednesday, 4/22 (via your class schedule on WesPortal)
  • Course Withdrawal Deadline: To withdraw from a full semester or 4th quarter class, you must do so by 5pm on Wednesday, 4/29 (via your class schedule on WesPortal)
  • Last Day of Classes: Wednesday 5/6
  • Reading Days/Exams: Thursday 5/7 through Friday 5/15
  • Housing Closes: Saturday 5/16 at 1pm

I know how tempting it is when the warm days start showing up. Suddenly sitting through class or opening your notes feels a lot harder than it did in February. That pull is real. Many of us feel it, but don’t let it win. At the same time, spring is also one of the best times to say yes to things: events, conversations, opportunities, community. Get out there and be part of it all. Balance is key.

You are not alone in any of this. Throughout this year, I’ve shared resources, perspectives, and reminders about resiliencecritical thinking, and asking for help. The key is reaching out before things feel overwhelming. Whether it’s your Class Dean, a counselor, a professor, or someone in your residential community, we’re here, and asking is always the right call.

You have been an incredible class to work with, and I am confident that the best of this semester is still ahead of you. Make it count – you got this!
