Information For

Housing, Campus Employment and Staying Safe Online (Class Dean Summer Email #2)

Dear Transfer Students Entering the Class of 2029,

Welcome back to your inbox! This is the second bi-weekly check-in from your Class Dean. If you missed the first one, you can find it here

A few important items as June deadlines approach. These are quick reads with action required.

Housing (deadline: June 30)
– Submit your Housing Preference Form (link in Online Orientation).
– Not sure where you want to live? Review the Residential Life module in Online Orientation.

Campus Employment
– Visit the Gordon Career Center website (link). Questions? Email campusemployment@wesleyan.edu.
– Bring original, hard-copy ID(s) from the I-9 acceptable documents list (link) to complete onboarding.

Scam Awareness
– Be cautious of fake job offers targeting college students. Legitimate Wes jobs are posted on Handshake only.
– Report anything suspicious to security@wesleyan.edu.

Your Wesleyan Email – Start Using it Now
– After June 30, all university communications will go to your Wesleyan email only. This is the last email I will send to your personal email account. Check your Wes email at least once a week in the summer and daily once classes begin. Consider connecting with an APA to help you stay organized with emails and other electronic organization systems.

Pre-Health Professions Webinar Reminder
– Join the Pre-Health Professions Webinar on Monday, June 22 at 6:00 p.m. (Zoom link and passcode listed in the Academic Road Map).

If you still need to schedule a Zoom one-on-one with me, please do so using this link.

Take care,
Dean Dunn
